Looking around on Meetup, I saw that our city is distinctly lacking a group where like minded people can talk about their favourite shows, books and films when their interests lie in the more imaginative side of these things. I've always love sci-fi and fantasy so I decided to start one myself.
Starbase Leicester is a social hub of people from all walks of life, that enjoy anything and everything Science Fiction and Fantasy related. If you're into books, movies, gaming, roleplaying, steampunk, writing, conventions, anime/manga or anything else inbetween, you'll be able to find someone to talk to at one of the many social events that we hold each year. We love meeting new people, making new friends and having fun at the same time, something which we've been doing as a group since 2005. …

This is a group for anymore interested in anything considered Geeky and Nerdy and wanting to meet new people and make new friends with each other! I want this to be a friendly group that is willing to try anything once (from MLP to 40k) and will organise events and socials on a regular basis!
